Description
Update: I'll try getting more photos of him and detail photos later. I've just been too tired.
Update: He has been SOLD. He is now available on a commission basis only! That means you can only commission him when my schedule is open. I still have three slots open for a Christmas delivery. After that no more commissions will open until mid/late January.
This is my last personal project for a while. I'm better enough to get back to work on normal commissions. I'm still groggy and sore but I can manage.
This was an interesting project. I took 5 days longer than I expected too. I played the game at release and became fascinated by the marionette but it wasn't until I saw other art of him (see below) by that I decided to plush him. I started around noon that day and he took WAY longer than he should have since I had to redo things as more game art was released on the wiki showing off his details. BUT he's done at least.
I wanted to do a jointed neck but I really just wanted to get this done. If I ever get to make him again I will do a jointed neck. I also was considering a clay face but decided against it too. Maybe next time. Instead what I did was make a canvas head, skin it with minky, and then layer quilters batting and stuffing to simulate the mask on top of the face and then covered that in the actual mask so it has a lot of depth. He has support in his neck to help hold the weight of his head as he's very very very very very top heavy. His arms and legs are floppy. He is NOT posable. There is no wire in him. He is made entirely out of 3mm pile minky fabric (extremely soft), polyfil, and quilters batting. He has a support chopstick in his neck and upper spine. Update: He has been SOLD.
