Additional images:

My local group was having a secret santa and the person I was assigned was so vague! I didn't even know if he liked plushies but I decided to take a gamble. He said in his list that his OTP was John/Vriska so I decided I'd make a set of scalemates. I've been wanting to do an OTP scalemate set with face magnets for a while so this was a good excuse.
I modified the original Eyes5 pattern as usual to suit my needs. John is made of blue fleece with a dark blue underside, light blue emrboidared designs on his sides, a white tummy, and slimer ghost appliqued on his tummy. His face is peach with black and blue on the back to simulate a hood. I gave him really pretty button eyes as a joke to reference that comic panel XD He also has a fully removable shirt, pants, and hood.
Vriska is all black with red boots and a grey face with black hair. She has 8 button eyes that I custom dyed to be similar to her blood color! She also has a black stripe and arrow running down the side of her body to her tail. Her hood and shirt are removable. All the clothing is custom dyed to get as close to the colors as I could ^_^

Pattern modified from Eyes5
Clothing patterned by me
Scalemates, John, and Vriska belong to Andrew Hussie

John: Round head, round nose
Vriska: Round head, round nose

I now want to make one of each of them... oOwOo
Any tips on making them? Like their symbols and their hair?
Please and thank you ^^"

Best advice I can give is NOT to free hand it. I sometimes get lazy and big-headed and just free hand things and I don't suggest it. Plan everything out. Before patterning things like the hair I draw it from every angle to see how I want it to look. Then I do tests in scrap and sew it all together and hope it works. Sometimes if things don't fit quite right I'll redo it several times until it is right @_@ As for the symbols on their tummies you can use a lot of methods from an embroidery machine, hand embroidery, paint, applique, iron on, etc. Same goes for the hair. I insist on making everything as difficult as I can for myself and sew everything but there's no one way to go about it. Play to your strengths, that's the best advice.

Sadly, Andrew Hussie has forbidden the sale of 3D Homestuck merchandise (including plushes) without express permission--which no one has. For more information please see the following links: [link] and [link] If you see someone selling or offering to sell any of the forbidden merchandise I highly encourage you to report it right away. The only way people like myself will ever get permission to offer our work is if the pirates are stopped and the fandom can be trusted again.
