Patterning and sewing done by me! If you're at all curious about the prototype drafting etc. I took some images in my scraps folder. It's hard to see but there are tiny little pinstriped stitched onto the vest
Tutorial and pattern: Coming Soon! (When I don't know because while the tutorial has been done for ages, the pattern is lost somewhere)
Homestuck and Jaspersprite belong to Andrew Hussie. Jaspersprite image in lower right corner belongs to Hussie, it is featured for reference only.
N'awwwwwww! It's so cute!! I have to know how you did the half-dress (since I am doing an Eldritch Princess, aka the thing prototyped before Jaspers!!)
Aww you're doing an Eldritch Princess too? How cute! I can't wait to see ^_^ I'm hoping to start one next week or so! As for Jaspersprite's vest, I made it the same way I make all my plushie clothing. Guess and test. I did his vest out of a fuschia brocade that I topstitched to create the pinstripes. His sleeves are a standard princess sleeve I sewed directly onto the vest instead of making an undershirt since he was so small and I made a detachable cravat for his neck to fit underneath the vest. Though his vest and EP's dress are very different in appearance. When I make EP I'll be doing a solid princess seam dress with an underbust corset and seperate layered petticoat. The sleeves will be part of the dress though I may make them out of a different fabric I haven't decided yet. But you could easily get away with just a solid one piece dress on EP instead of doing the layers. Mine is going to be 5 ft tall so it doesn't hurt me to do extra layers but in smaller plushes I'd forgo that and just give the illusion. Hope that helps!
